Deleting your account

You can delete your CIAD account directly in the app. If you do not have the app, you can request deletion from the web by email, with no need to reinstall it.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Use one of the two routes below.

1. The fastest route, directly in the app

  1. Open the CIAD app and sign in.
  2. Open Settings and choose Delete account.
  3. Read the deletion summary and type your account email to confirm.
  4. Tap Permanently delete account.

After successful confirmation the app sends a request for immediate deletion of the account and signs you out. This action cannot be undone.

2. Public request without the app

If you do not have the app or cannot sign in, send a request to office@ciad.cz. If possible, write from the address linked to the account and state only:

  • that you request permanent deletion of your account in the CIAD app;
  • the account email address, if you are writing from a different address.

Before deletion we must reasonably verify that the request comes from the account owner. We may therefore send a verification message to the registered email or ask for other secure proof of ownership. We will never ask you for your password or one-time sign-in code.

After verification we will handle the request without undue delay. If the law allows an extension because of complexity or the number of requests, we will inform the requester.

3. What gets deleted

When an ordinary account is deleted, the backend removes data directly linked to the user, in particular:

  • account, sign-in identifiers, profile, interests and personal preferences;
  • device tokens and notification settings;
  • progress, quiz results and answers, attempt times, video progress, XP, streak, league, badges, challenges and personal activity history;
  • certificates, personal Kybercheck history and the latest leak overview;
  • personal NIS2 assessment and its roadmap;
  • organisation membership and unused personal invitation links.

4. What may be kept

  • Organisation data: if the organisation has other members, its NIS2 assessment, roadmap, risk register and training records are not deleted just because one user leaves. Organisation administration is transferred to another member and the direct link to the deleted author is removed where possible.
  • Audit and security records: a limited record of a security or organisational event may remain without a direct user identifier, where needed to protect the service, document a change or support a legal claim.
  • Statutory records: minimal data may be kept for as long as required by law, accounting rules or an ongoing dispute.
  • App stores: Apple, Google or RevenueCat may keep transaction history under their own terms. CIAD cannot delete it from the given provider account.

5. Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your CIAD account does not stop automatic renewal of your Apple or Google subscription. Before deleting your account, open subscription management and cancel further renewals:

If you do not know which account the purchase was made with, write to info@ciad.cz. Do not send full payment details.
